Samsung announced two surprises when it launched its brand new Gear VR headset along with Galaxy Note 7. To those who are familiar with the VR concept, this stands to be more refined, comfortable and better viewing experience from different angles; somewhat due to the smartphone that would be placed in front of it.
To those who are still learning the ropes, VR stands for Virtual Reality. The name justifies what the gadget does to a great extent. This is because Galaxy Note 7 uses USB-C technology instead of using the casual microUSB. As of now, it can’t be said whether it is a major upgrade or a worthy refinement.

The fringing which used to be at the side of the lenses still irks. Also, this one seems to be harder to focus, despite the better fit and improved hardware. The developers should be making more codes for it, in order to bridge the gap between smartphone and gear. After the release of Conjuring two, the Internet stories tell that some people were so horrified that they shouted out loudly in fear of realism. This can be considered as the power of Virtual reality. The whole experience astonishingly real, immersive, and incredible. Also, with tech giants trying their luck in the technology, who knows what is going to unfold in the technology.
Samsung Galaxy Gear VR and Oculus Rift:
Now, it has been more than 2 years that the Oculus Rift got mentioned among the biggest success on Kickstarter. Rift is still in progress, but that doesn’t seem to stop other players from moving forward in this area. In this competition, the Samsung Galaxy Gear VR can serve as a great deal and indeed become the closest thing for a consumer ready product that came in the market.
The product although is still in beta as it is subtitled the Innovator Edition and has been designed in partnership with the Oculus Rift. But once you progress and start using it with heavy end games or applications, you will definitely feel a need for a controller in order to get the most out of your Samsung Galaxy VR Gear.
Conclusion – At this point, when the headset is still in beta, it won’t be right to say anything. On one hand, the companies have made a handful of refinements in order to make the device light and offer a better experience to users, but on the other, you can’t use it with much efficiency on a non-Samsung high-end variant.
